Aware of the celebrity's past struggles and her desire to achieve a feminine-looking nose, Gypsy Rose's friend Nadiya Vizier expressed her concern that increased public attention could lead to renewed attempts to dictate her pal's image.

Nadiya urged people to respect Gypsy Rose's decision to undergo surgery and let her live her life. "Let her learn from it. I feel like in a way, people are still trying to control her," Nadiya said.
Additionally, Gypsy Rose also had her teeth corrected. TMZ reported she beamed with a new set of porcelain teeth, confidently showing off her radiant smile at a Walmart in Galliano, Louisiana. She once had silver teeth that reflected her past struggles.
Gypsy Rose's dental problems were a result of her late mother, Dee Dee Blanchard's abuse. Dee Dee tricked doctors into believing that Gypsy was seriously ill, leading them to perform unnecessary procedures.

Dee Dee's abuse involved applying a numbing cream to Gypsy's gums, prompting doctors to remove her salivary glands and leaving her teeth vulnerable to decay. She also made Gypsy take Tegretol, a medication for epilepsy and bipolar disorder, despite her daughter not having epilepsy.

Realizing that she never had epilepsy was pivotal for Gypsy Rose to understand her mother's deception, marking the start of her journey toward healing. Now, she is fully embracing her "pretty girl era."
Gypsy Rose said, "I think that I'm entering into a new era in my life, definitely, having learned a lot about me over these last four months." She is now committed to moving forward, embracing her identity, and discovering more about herself.

She emphasized the importance of showcasing her transformation from the person she was in prison to who she is today. Gypsy Rose was arrested in 2015, along with her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, for the murder of her mother.

She pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016 and received a 10-year prison sentence. However, she was granted early release and left prison in December 2023.
Along with her newfound freedom, Gypsy Rose is now in a relationship with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker. According to TMZ, the two first connected through a prison pen pal program while she was still incarcerated, getting engaged in April 2019. However, they eventually called off the engagement.
She later formed a relationship with another pen pal, Ryan Anderson. In July 2022, she and Ryan married in a ceremony behind bars, but she eventually filed for divorce.
Shortly after the divorce, Gypsy Rose Blanchard filed a temporary restraining order against Ryan in Lafourche Parish's 17th Judicial District Court. In the court documents, she requested short-term and ongoing financial support, citing her need and his ability to provide it.
She also claimed she was not responsible for the dissolution of their marriage and asked that the court deny Ryan spousal support. After the split and the restraining order, Ryan broke his silence in a video on TikTok, thanking his followers for their support.
Gypsy Rose's estranged husband promised that more details would be revealed in the former convict's self-titled series and that he'd share further updates on TikTok soon.
Amid their ongoing divorce, TMZ later reported that Gypsy and Ken rekindled their romance at the Jazz Fest in New Orleans, with photos and videos showing them swaying to the music and sharing a kiss.
Now that she is back in Ken's arms, she told TMZ, "After reconnecting earlier this month, we realized that our love for each other is simply undeniable, and life is too short to not take a chance."
She added, "We have a history that made for the perfect foundation for a new beginning. We are together and in a wonderful place in our relationship. We know it's going to be a long road ahead, but we're excited about the future."
