Roseanne Barr

Comedian Roseanne Barr has had several cosmetic surgeries, including a tummy tuck, breast reduction, and nose job. She talked about her nose job in a 2008 interview.

Barr is in her early seventies, and once spoke candidly about growing old, saying, "I want to look old because I am old. And I think it's damn good to be old, too."

Michael Jackson

In a February podcast interview, Michael Jackson's former bodyguard Matt Fiddes revealed the superstar's family used to tease him because of the size of his nose.

"Being called big nose and all this stuff. And he used to say his dad used to be the main one. 'You didn't get that from me, you got that from your mom, and you didn't get it from my side of the family.' It hurt him a lot," Fiddes disclosed.

He also shared Jackson used to dance three hours a day on average. At one point, he did 50 spins in a row and he unfortunately fell and broke his nose.

"And he saw it as the perfect opportunity, while under anesthetic, to just get the nose smaller," Fiddes revealed. He said he and the musician never discussed how many surgeries he had undergone on his nose but figures it was several of them.

The martial artist also mentioned that back in the day, people spoke rarely about plastic surgery and Botox. That said, Jackson had to maintain his image because he had a lot of record companies behind him who paid him billions.

Cameron Diaz

Another star who previously injured her nose is Cameron Diaz. She openly talked about the incident in a 2004 interview. The actress revealed that she broke her nose in a surfing accident in 2003.

Before that encounter which occurred in Hawaii, Diaz had broken her nose three times and did not think that the level of damage would be that severe.

She divulged, "I totally busted my nose open...blood squirting everywhere. I had a gash across my nose, but I kept saying, 'Don't worry, a couple of stitches it's fine, it's good."

However, the "Charlie's Angels" star later realized the severity of her injury once she went to see a surgeon, Dr. Flowers. He told her that she had shattered her nose after inspecting it.

"I said, 'No, it just takes a couple of stitches, don't touch it. Just stitch it up, don't touch the bump. I've had the bump since I was 11 years old. I don't want it changed. I know you think you want to change it but don't touch my nose," Diaz recalled.

Yet the doctor told her that her nose had about "20 pieces right now that are just all over the place." He stressed that if he did not fix it entirely by straitening it, then she would have a nose that is broken in like 20 pieces.

Still, she refused to do it. But two years later, in 2006, Diaz admitted she regretted it because, at that point, she had trouble breathing. "So, I'm totally over it I'm getting it fixed. I can't take it. I cannot breathe at all," revealed the movie star. She added that one side of her nose was severely shattered and compared her septum to a train derailed.

Ozzy Osbourne

Another celebrity who has been open about plastic surgery is Ozzy Osbourne. The rocker disclosed in a 2012 interview that he underwent cosmetic surgery on his face.

The former Black Sabbath frontman had a nose job and a facelift. This was after his wife got positive results for her own facial enhancement surgeries.

Osbourne spoke about the experience and admitted, "It boosted my confidence no end. I've had a face job and a new nose." Years after altering his appearance, the former reality star had to undergo surgery for health issues.

In 2023, Osbourne revealed that he had a neck surgery which turned out to be botched. "I went for the surgery because I thought I was going to get paralyzed," he noted.

According to the doctor who treated him, his condition would have gotten worse had he not had the operation because one part of his spine was not getting spinal fluid.

However, following the procedure, Osbourne described his condition as "crippled." He explained that for three months, he was in "absolute diabolical agony."

Osbourne further shared that everyone around him thought that he was dying at the time as he would cry due to the pain. "I felt death would have been a welcome gift," said the star.

Meanwhile, Janet Jackson, disclosed in a 2006 interview that when she was 16, she had her nose changed. As for whether she would do it again, the singer said she was uncertain.

"I've seen a lot of women that have been pulled and snatched and it's not too cute," she remarked. Decades after getting her nose done, a medical expert observed how different it was beginning to look.

A New York-based plastic surgeon, Dr. Matthew Schulman, provided his analysis of Jackson’s nose in an interview after she made headlines because of her look.

Schulman, who has not worked with the Hollywood star before, said, "It appears that there is some nasal collapse and some retraction of the nostrils."

He further explained that several previous surgeries may have caused injury to the underlying cartilage support of Jackson’s nose, as the actress has had multiple plastic surgeries in the past.

On the other hand, fellow actress Jennifer Aniston has crushed nose job rumors. In a 2007 interview, Aniston was asked whether she had had plastic surgery on her nose and breasts.

She reportedly laughed off the speculations and explained that she had a deviated septum fixed which was the best decision she ever made. "As far as all the other [rumors], as boring as it sounds, it's still mine. All of it. Still mine," said Aniston. She added that she is satisfied with what God gave her.

In a 2023 interview, the "Friends" star spoke candidly about embracing the aging process saying, "If I tried to look the way I looked at 20, I would not really actually want to do that.”

Jennifer Grey

Another celebrity who has conformed to Hollywood beauty standards is Jennifer Grey. She disclosed in a 2022 interview that she almost lost her career after getting a nose job.

"Overnight I lose my identity and my career," the actress divulged on the impact of her plastic surgery. Grey had two operations after starring in the hit film, "Dirty Dancing."

In her memoir, "Out of the Corner," she mentioned that following her memorable role in the movie, she became "America's sweetheart," and that this was supposed to open doors for her.

However, things panned out differently because there were still no movie roles for actresses who looked like her. Grey revealed she was told that her nose was "a problem."

One plastic surgeon, who had watched "Dirty Dancing," reportedly wondered why she had not had a nose job. Yet Grey argued that her nose was not an issue for her but because it seemed to have bothered many, it became her problem by default.

She gave in to the pressure and underwent two rhinoplasty surgeries to fine-tune her nose. Grey had to undergo a second surgery to correct an irregularity caused by the first procedure, but it left her nose "truncated," and "dwarfed" — which made her barely recognizable.

Lastly, another star who has had a nose job is Tori Spelling. In 2023, the actress posted a black and white throwback photo of herself on Instagram.
