Brad Pitt stars as an F1 driver in his upcoming movie "F1," but fans who have seen pictures of him on set feel he's ill-suited for the role.

The 60-year-old was spotted at the F1 Grand Prix in Mexico, where he was expected to watch the race as other spectators. However, he amazed the crowd when he sat behind the wheel to film additional scenes for "F1."

After the qualifying races finished, a designated area of the track was closed off for the "F1" film crew to capture extra scenes. The shoot wrapped up with Pitt emerging from his car, removing his helmet, and waving to the enthusiastic crowd of cheering fans.

A picture of Brad Pitt in his F1 attire, waving at the crowd, was shared online, capturing the excitement of the moment. However, some fans expressed their doubts about Pitt's suitability for the role.

One user bluntly stated, "Brad looks awful and all his films flop. Nobody should be giving him roles." Another user commented, "Facelift Brad looks old," while someone else remarked, "He looks rough ngl [sic]."

Critics also questioned the realism of an F1 driver in his age, "A 60yo [sic] F1 driver?" Another individual wondered, "A 60 year old [sic] driving F1? Who does he think he is, Fernando Alonso?"
A skeptic user chimed in, "60 year old [sic] man wins a race in F1. Never happened before and not realistic." A person with similar views penned, "Brad Pitt is far too old for the role, not remotely convincing. Might as well get Helmut Marko to play the part, at least raced."

However, not all opinions were negative, as one fan declared, "Beautiful Brad Pitt loved him 🥰🥰🥰," while another swooned, "He is sooo handsome 🥰🥰🥰."

The film, whose trailer premiered before the 2024 British Grand Prix in July, follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, an F1 driver who retires after a crash. However, he finds himself drawn back into the sport when a friend persuades him to mentor a new prodigy.
The highly anticipated sports action drama has been in the works for over a year, with filming kicking off in July 2023 at the Silverstone Circuit in the U.K. During the following months, Pitt was spotted racing the circuit for various Grand Prix events.

Produced in collaboration with the FIA, "F1" is directed by Joseph Kosinski, renowned for his work on 2022's "Top Gun: Maverick." The cast also features other great actors, including Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Sarah Niles.

Pitt has already shared his views on the movie in an interview and thanked the teams he is collaborating with, including FIA. He noted, "Everyone has just been really, really amazing, that we can do this. And it's going to be really good."

The movie star expressed his enthusiasm about being part of the project, noting the incredible vibe and the positive reception they've received while telling their story. He appreciated how welcoming everyone had been throughout the process.

When asked about the experience of being on the track with a crowd watching, the excited actor gushed, "I'm a little giddy right now, I've got to say. And it's just great to be here, man. We're just having such a laugh, such a laugh."
Pitt, who is having the best time of his life shooting "F1," added that the racing scenes in the movie should be as authentic as possible as they are working with experts to achieve this.
Pitt ended the interview by expressing, "I'm going to be here until they kick me out because I'm loving it," and adding with a broad smile, "It's every guy's dream."
