"I'm doing really good. As you can tell there's a lot of energy flowing through my body right now. This is very crazy for me. There's a lot of cool people here. I'm really excited to perform," expressed the young star.
This year's Grammys was particularly significant for Boone as, in addition to performing there for the first time, he received his first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist for his album "Fireworks & Rollerblades."
During his conversation with the media outlet, Boone was also asked about his artistic journey and how his start in music came to fruition, leading him to this historic moment.
"In between four-and-a-half and five years ago I discovered I could sing. Ever since then I do it every day. It's like my greatest passion and I'm just happy that I could make a living out of it [sic]," revealed the "Sugar Sweet" musician.
At another moment during the 67th Grammy Awards, Boone took some time to speak with Billboard. With the same level of excitement he had while talking to People, the young artist spoke about his ability to pull off backflips after the interviewer asked him about it.

In response to a question concerning the timeframe it took for Boone to learn how to perfect backflips, including the ones he does off of pianos onto stages, he answered, "You know what, it was really just one shot. It was during a show and I didn't really practice it before, I'm not much of a rehearsing guy and I went for it, and it went well."
He continued, "But I will say, when you're on stage, when you have a crowd that's just screaming at everything you do, you can't really feel like you fail, so I just went for it, and luckily it went well so I kept doing it."
Another topic discussed during the red carpet interview includes his vocal range on "Beautiful Things." "I want people to know I can sing. And yes, screaming is a different thing but, I appreciate good vocals and I want to have good vocals, and I want to give people a good show when I'm performing for them live," shared Boone.
The musician also spoke about his musical preference roots, which include ABBA, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Queen, and his personal style, adding, "I just try to wear something crazy every night."
Catching up with Extra TV during the ceremony, Boone revealed the feelings he had when he learned of his Grammy nominee status.
The "Before You" musician highlighted the sheer excitement he felt upon hearing the news, explaining, "It's like getting your favorite present on Christmas when you're six, it's just the coolest thing, and I really am just grateful to be here."
Boone then spoke about his then-upcoming performance, referencing how he was most excited for viewers to see his outfit.
Following this, the interviewer asked Boone who he was looking forward to meeting during the awards show, to which he responded, "Oh that's a good question. Hmm, Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, Troye Sivan, that's just what's on the top of my head."
