Gemma Collins Debuts New Hairstyle amid Continued Weight Loss

Fans were left doing a double take — and some barely recognised her.

Gemma Collins, 45, unveiled a stunning new look over the weekend that sent Instagram into meltdown, as the media personality traded her signature long blonde tresses for a dramatic short bob — and the internet simply couldn't cope.

On Sunday, 2 March, Collins uploaded a candid selfie that showed off her fresh shoulder-length cut, swept stylishly to the side. She paired the sleek new 'do with a hot pink sweater and lipstick to match, topping off the bold look with dark purple tinted sunglasses. The result? A bold, glamorous vibe with a punch of mid-winter summer energy.

"Pink and sun feels like a whole mood… 🩷💛," she captioned the post, before adding in true GC fashion, "People love pink + sun because it feels like ✨ new beginnings ✨ soft confidence ✨ summer even in winter ✨ main-character moment."

Fans flooded the comments in seconds.

"Love your hair makes you look so much younger 🥰," one follower gushed. "Hot 🔥🔥🔥," added another. "Unreal 😍," raved a third. And the compliments didn't stop there.

"Oh wow! This is a look😍🔥💖✨ you look phenomenal! Pink to make the boys wink 😉," one cheeky commenter teased, while others admitted they barely recognised the "TOWIE" alum.

"Who is this?" one netizen asked bluntly. "Stunning, I didn't recognise u x x," added another.

But while fans marvelled at her bold new aesthetic, Collins' glow-up arrives just three months after she revealed a much darker chapter in her health journey — one that left her in "excruciating" pain and forced her to briefly pause the controversial weight-loss injection Mounjaro, a drug originally designed to treat type 2 diabetes.

The star, who's gone from a size 26 to a 20 since beginning the jab more than a year ago, revealed she "fell to the floor" in agony while celebrating fiancé Rami Hawash's birthday at a race track. A medical scan later uncovered that Collins had developed gallstones, a side effect increasingly linked to the drug's use.

"I had to stop the jabs for a bit because I had a gallbladder attack in August, but they've [my doctors at Yazen] assured me that it's not actually linked to Mounjaro," she told The Mirror in November.

"I've given it a rest and I've really been managing what I've been eating. But I think I'm going to start microdosing because I feel with the microdosing, you don't get all the [side] effects."

Despite the scare, Gemma remains vocal in her praise of Mounjaro, calling it "life-changing". She's not aiming to be "stick thin," but rather focused on reclaiming her health and losing six stone from her heaviest weight.

"I'm never going to look stick thin. I don't want to look stick thin. It's not who I am. But it's about being healthier. So it's all going in the right direction," she added.

Though hailed as the poster girl for curvy confidence, Collins has long been open about her struggle with weight. Diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome at 28, the former "TOWIE" star once tipped the scales at over 23 stone, wearing a size 26.

But everything changed in November 2024, when she began taking the NHS-approved Mounjaro weight loss injections. The results? More than three stone shed by October 2025.

And for Collins, this wasn't just about appearance — it was liberation.

"For me, taking the jab is more about helping me not to fixate on food," she explained. "I actually only eat once a day now and don't snack. I used to fascinate about food all day, but now it's not a major player in my life anymore, I've forgotten all about it."

She added, "If I get a bit hungry, I'll have something to eat, but it's just about making smarter choices."

While her body is changing, her mindset is stronger than ever.

Collins is adamant that she's not chasing skinny. Why? It doesn't align with her brand.

"I've become successful being who I am and I'm not going to change that for anyone. I'm really not," she said. "God's made me as I am and now I just embrace my natural body size. I love my hips. I love my curves. I'm never going to be thin and I've made peace with that. Everyone needs to accept it."
