This year's Oscars schedule was adjusted to acknowledge the challenges faced by the industry and to support relief efforts for those affected by recent California wildfires. The Academy emphasized the importance of coming together as a community and honoring frontline workers.

As a result, the nominations voting period was extended through January 17 and the nominations announcement was moved to January 23.
