Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's unexpected display of affection at the U.K. premiere of "The Naked Gun" reboot on July 21, 2025, has sparked a whirlwind of online reaction, with many fans convinced romance may be in the air.

The actors were photographed together at the event, where they posed closely on the red carpet at the Cineworld Leicester Square. Anderson looked effortlessly elegant in a strapless, deep purple gown with a flowing, floor-length skirt. Her elegant look is completed with voluminous blonde waves and sparkling drop earrings, exuding timeless Hollywood glamour.

Neeson kept things classic in a gray corduroy-style suit paired with a casual black crewneck shirt and black shoes. The buzz began shortly after images surfaced showing the pair smiling warmly, with Neeson's hand resting on Anderson's back and Anderson leaning in to kiss him on the cheek.

Neeson was married to British actress Natasha Richardson from 1994 until her tragic death in 2009. The "Parent Trap" and "Cabaret" star died at age 45 after a fall on a beginner slope at Canada's Mont Tremblant resort.

Following what initially appeared to be a minor accident, Richardson developed a severe head injury. She was declared brain dead and taken off life support at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.

More than a year after Richardson's passing, Neeson briefly dated U.K. publicist Freya St. Johnston. Before meeting Richardson, the actor had past relationships with Barbra Streisand, Brooke Shields, and Helen Mirren, with whom he starred in "Excalibur."

Reflecting on Mirren in 2018, the publication reportedly said he told "The Graham Norton Show," "I was smitten. I think Ciarán was too, but I was very smitten!" He added, "Helen was a good cook, cooking on outside fire and stuff. Lovely."

According to the publication, Neeson spends his downtime watching movies or TV shows with his sons, Micheál and Daniel. "Just simple stuff. We used to do a bit of fly-fishing together. We haven’t done it for several years now," Neeson said. He had his sons with his late wife. Both sons live close to their dad in New York.

Despite his statement that he's no longer looking to date, his affectionate red carpet moment with Anderson has left fans buzzing with hope. The premiere may have been for a comedy reboot, but to many, it looked like the start, or at least the hint, of a new chapter.
