A Powerful Tribute Photo of the Prince of Darkness

Posted on Ozzy's official Instagram account, the tribute stopped followers in their tracks. The image — electric, explosive, unforgettable — shows Ozzy in his prime: arms outstretched, eyes blazing, bathed in stage lights like a rock-and-roll God.

The caption beneath it is pure poetry, and pure pain, reading, "I don't wanna say goodbye. When I do, you'll be alright. After all, I did it all for you." Those words set off an emotional avalanche of fan tributes and mournful messages.

A Love That Defied the Odds

Sharon and Ozzy's love story is the stuff of legend, although it was not without scars. From backstage encounters to full-blown rock-star mayhem, their bond was messy, passionate, and fiercely resilient.

They met when Sharon was just 18, and Ozzy walked into her father's office with Black Sabbath. At first, she dismissed them, but seeing them perform changed everything.

By 1980, the couple was inseparable. Both were broke and cut off from their pasts — but together, they were unstoppable. They married on July 4, 1982, in Maui, and by 1987, they were parents to three: Aimee, Kelly and Jack Osbourne.

Despite rock stardom, TV fame, and chaotic highs and lows, family remained their center. That bond only grew stronger as Ozzy's health began to take a turn for the worse.

Pain, Perseverance, and a Promise That Endured

In recent years, when they reached their 70s, Ozzy battled Parkinson's disease and endured multiple spinal surgeries. His world shrank, but his spirit fought on.

"It's just been heartbreaking for me to see my husband in a position where he's not self-sufficient; he needs help. He was so vibrant, with such a zest for life. But you learn to adapt," Sharon revealed.

With Ozzy no longer touring, Sharon became his full-time caregiver — not out of obligation, but pure, enduring love.

Reflecting on their then-four-decade marriage, she said, "We're both odd balls," explaining the secret to their longevity. That oddity became their superpower. Through betrayal, fame, and disease, their love refused to die. But it came close.

In 2024, Ozzy and Sharon marked 42 years of marriage — a milestone not without its challenges. Their relationship had been tested time and again, and Sharon made it clear it hadn't always been sunshine and rainbows.

One of the most painful chapters came almost a decade earlier when she discovered Ozzy's affair with a hairdresser — a betrayal that nearly ended her life. Sharon said she had long tolerated groupies as part of Ozzy's rock and roll lifestyle, but this time was different.

"When he knows the name of the person, where they live, and where they work... it is a whole different thing," she explained. Reeling, Sharon "took an overdose" and locked herself away in a room. The pain was too much.

But something stronger than betrayal remained: love. "I just can't think of my life without him in it. It's unthinkable for me," she shared. "I've never loved anyone as much as I've loved him — and without that, there's no hope of keeping a relationship together, is there?"

Despite everything, they reached 43 years of marriage on July 4, 2025 — a milestone sealed by fire, forgiveness, and an unbreakable connection.

In recent months, Sharon had continued to post glimpses of their life together — cozy, quiet, intimate moments — and fans followed with awe and admiration.

A Family United in Grief

Now, in the wake of his passing, it's Ozzy's children and other loved ones who are keeping his memory alive — sharing personal, tender tributes that offer fans an intimate look at the man behind the music.

Via Instagram Stories, Kelly opened up on August 4, saying, "I've sat down to write this a hundred times and still don't know if the words will ever feel like enough... but from the bottom of my heart, thank you 💜."

She thanked fans for "the love, support, and beautiful messages," adding, "Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain."

Kelly then spoke candidly about her own grief, divulging, "Grief is a strange thing — it sneaks up on you in waves — I will not be ok for a while — but knowing my family are [sic] not alone in our pain makes a difference. I'm holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind."

Aree Osbourne, Ozzy's daughter-in-law, also spoke out, writing, "I'm pretty sure I have the coolest father in law around, and the best papa to my kids. The world got a rockstar but we got an ice lolly loving, goofy, big hearted guy who made us laugh like no other."

Aree also shared that the Black Sabbath frontman was always on her side and that she is grateful to him for raising her husband, Jack, and for blessing her with her family.

"[...] Keep giving us all those signs from above 🖤✨ We'll keep your name loud, your stories alive, and your love wrapped around us like armor. Forever our guy," she added. Along with her message, Aree posted a carousel featuring memories of Ozzy and the rest of the family, including one photo of them together at her wedding.
