Fans Say Daniel Radcliffe Looks 'Homeless' in Video
Even wizards can't hide forever. When a bundled-up Daniel Radcliffe emerged from a NYC café, fans weren't just stunned to see him, they almost didn't recognize him.
In a twist that's both magical and mildly heartbreaking, Daniel Radcliffe, the boy wizard who stole the world's heart as Harry Potter, has once again proven he's as down-to-earth as ever — even if fans are now confusing him for someone living on the streets.

A now-viral TikTok shared by content creator Derek Ji captured the surreal moment the beloved actor, 36, was casually spotted grabbing two steaming cups of coffee in New York City.
But it wasn't just the unexpected celebrity sighting that caught the internet's attention. What followed was an avalanche of fan reactions, including praise for Radcliffe's modest charm, and a debate that's left social media divided: has Harry Potter become... unrecognizable?

'He Was Sooooo Nice!!!!': Childhood Hero Meets Starstruck Fan
The footage, posted on Sunday, 14 December, shows Ji tentatively approaching Radcliffe inside a cozy café. The actor, clad in a slouchy beanie and gripping two hot drinks, looked every bit the low-key New Yorker — until Ji nervously asked, "Hi, are you Daniel Radcliffe?"

With a warm smile and his unmistakable British charm, the actor replied, "Yes, Daniel, nice to meet you." Ji then asked for a photo, and the video seamlessly cut to a grinning group snap outside the café, showing Radcliffe beaming with fans in the winter chill.

'He Looked Homeless': Fans Express Concern Over Radcliffe's Appearance
But not all the responses were glowing tributes. Some followers were... confused. Even concerned.

"He looked like homeless 🥺," one comment read, while another joked, "Love that he looks like a homeless person 😂 so down to earth." A third took the snark further, saying, "Harry Potter fan but ngl why does he look homeless in this fit. [sic]"
The remarks weren't malicious — most came wrapped in affection — but they reopened an old conversation Radcliffe himself addressed years ago.
'Get Yourself a Coffee, Mate': Actor Recalls the Time He Was Mistaken for a Vagrant
Back in 2020, Radcliffe appeared on "The Graham Norton Show" and shared a now-infamous moment that proved, once again, his everyday style might be a little too relatable.

While out running errands with girlfriend Erin Darke and a friend's dog, Radcliffe had stayed outside a store, bundled in a fleece hoodie and oversized coat, crouching on the sidewalk to warm the pup. Then, the unexpected happened.

The "Kill Your Darlings" star glanced up to see a man flashing him a smile from a distance — a gesture he barely registered as he kept gently stroking the shivering dog. Moments later, the man walked a few steps past him, circled back, and slipped a $5 bill over his shoulder.
The stranger's words? "Get yourself a coffee, mate."

The realization struck hard. "I was like, 'Oh my god, I don't think I'm wearing nice clothes [...].' That was a wake-up call," Radcliffe admitted, adding, "Apparently, I have to, you know, shave more often.'"'
Even the dog's real owner had experienced similar mistaken identity, Radcliffe added, hinting that maybe the dog's shivery innocence made the humans around it look equally vulnerable.
From Boy Wizard to Beanie-Wearing Everyman
Despite the jabs about his look, one thing is clear: Radcliffe remains a class act — humble, kind, and utterly uninterested in Hollywood glamor. Fans continue to adore him, even when he's flying under the radar (or in this case, under a thick beanie).

And maybe that's the real magic: a global superstar who still makes time for fans, whether he's red-carpet ready or just grabbing a quiet cup of coffee in the cold.
