As reported by TMZ on January 5, 2026, a friend discovered Trcka unresponsive in the kitchen of her home after trying to reach her several times in the days. The friend called 911, and although emergency responders arrived, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
Trcka's son later confirmed that she died on December 12, 2025. The San Diego Medical Examiner also confirmed her death and stated that the cause remains pending. Her son added that she had no known medical conditions.
Fitness, Film, and a Cult Classic Role That Defined Her Screen Career
Born on February 27, 1963, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Trcka was athletic from an early age. She excelled in gymnastics and also participated in diving, dance, and track and field. After her competitive days ended, she stayed involved in the sport by coaching and judging meets.
She earned a degree in Graphic Communications from Dakota County Technical Institute and worked in that field until 1991.
After moving to San Diego in 1986, she began weight training and entered local bodybuilding competitions by 1988, placing near the top of her division. She continued competing nationally for years. In 1991, she took a job as a postal carrier in the area while maintaining her fitness lifestyle.
By 1996, Trcka had begun personal training part-time at local gyms. Two years later, she left her full-time government job to focus entirely on fitness. She became a certified personal trainer through the National Council of Strength & Fitness (NCSF) and worked with clients on strength training and nutrition.
Her work in fitness eventually led to an unexpected opportunity in entertainment. In 2000, she was cast as Miss Mann in the comedy film "Scary Movie," alongside Anne Faris, brothers Shawn and Marlon Wayans.
Trcka stated in her bio, "Definitely a fun and unique experience, which has led to other entertainment work as well, TV, commercials."
That performance led to guest appearances on television shows including "The Drew Carey Show" and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Trcka then studied acting with instructor Shawn Nelson, and then at San Diego City College.
She went on to appear in films such as "Cattle Call" (2006), "The Black Magic" (2002), "The Bad Batch" (2016), and "Nudity Required" (2003). Her television work included episodes of "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" and "Hot Package." She also appeared as a guard in the music video for Lady Gaga feat. Beyoncé's "Telephone."
In addition to her acting credits, Trcka was featured in leading fitness magazines, including Flex, MuscleMag International, and Women's Physique World.
Later in life, she became a licensed realtor in California while continuing to train clients. She also enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, rollerblading, martial arts, and spending time outdoors.
Just weeks before Trcka's passing, another tragedy struck the entertainment industry. As previously reported, Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead inside their Los Angeles home on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

Family Member Reportedly Made the Grim Discovery as Speculation Mounts

According to multiple sources speaking to People magazine, the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, was the one who made the horrific discovery. The same sources alleged that Romy's brother, Nick Reiner, was responsible.
The Los Angeles Police Department's (LAPD) Robbery-Homicide Division investigated the case. According to TMZ, law enforcement said the victims had suffered lacerations consistent with a knife attack, a chilling detail that stunned Hollywood.

What Is Known About Nick Reiner's Past
Nick spoke openly in the past about his struggle with addiction, which inspired the 2016 semi-autobiographical film "Being Charlie."
In a People interview that year, he described periods of homelessness in several states after refusing to return to rehab. "I spent nights on the street. I spent weeks on the street. It was not fun," he said. His time living in and out of shelters helped shape the film's narrative.

Shock Investigation Into Reiner Deaths Begins
At the time, the LAPD confirmed that no suspects had been identified in the deaths of Rob and Michele. The investigation was in its earliest stages, with detectives moving cautiously but deliberately as they began piecing together what had happened inside the couple's Brentwood home.
In a press conference, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton told reporters that investigators had begun coordinating with family members to "get to the facts of this investigation."

A law enforcement official reportedly said that one family member was interviewed Sunday evening, but emphasized that no one has been detained or named as a suspect.
Hamilton also said detectives are waiting on the legal process to obtain a search warrant. "Once that is complied with, we will be conducting a full crime scene investigation on the interior and exterior of the residence and the surrounding neighborhood," he said.
