Remains of Texas woman Christina Morris who was missing since 2014 were found
The family stated that their worst fear had been realized.
According to an article published by Inside Edition, the mortal remains of Christina Morris, a young woman who was reported missing in 2014, were recently discovered by the police in Texas.
Christina’s family has lost every sign of peace of mind since she disappeared on August 30, 2014. Her last known whereabouts were that she visited a mall in Plano along with a friend named Enrique Gutierrez Arochi.
The police had found Christina’s car in the parking lot of the complex when the investigation began. A series of investigations ensued, and three months after the missing report, the friend Arochi was arrested.
The arrest was based on a few startling findings, including the presence of Christina’s DNA in the truck of Arochi’s car. He was declared guilty of aggravated kidnapping and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
While Arochi still refused to reveal where he had left Christina, who was only 27 years old then, her parents broke down at the time of his sentencing.
Mark Morris, Christina’s father, said that his daughter would never have agreeably climbed into the trunk of a car. The mother strongly stated that Arochi had taken away the joy of every holiday and occasion from the family.
However, police recently traced skeletal remains by the side of a creek in Anna, Texas. The remains were identified as Christina’s after examination.
It took 1285 days for Christina to be found, and the family is devastated by the painful closure. They said that finding her remains did not bring any solace to the family members.
In a statement, Christina’s immediate family shared their pain and stated that they had always been determined to keep the promise of bringing her back home.
Calling the incident a realization of their worst fears and nightmares, they politely requested for their private grieving time to be respected.
