Witney Carson confirms speculations on her future after suffering a terrible family member loss
Witney Carson is planning on returning to Dancing With the Stars following the death of her father-in-law, Kevin McAllister.
In December 2017, Carson had dropped out of the Dancing With the Stars winter tour to be with her husband, Carson McAllister, and his family as Kevin's health worsened. Last Friday, March 9, the pro shared the heartbreaking news that her father-in-law had died.
But according to a Closer Weekly report, that doesn’t mean she’s not returning for the next season of Dancing With The Stars. After opening up to fans about her recent home purchase with husband McAllister, the 24-year-old dancer says she will be coming back.
In an Instagram comment posted on Wednesday, March 14, a fan asked the 24-year-old dancer about her home renovations and if she was will be part of DWTS. ‘I'll still be doing the show,’ Carson replied with a smiley face.
Carson thanked fans for their support in a post following Kevin's death. ‘The amount of love has made my heart burst with gratitude and humility. Thank you so much for reaching out in this heartbreaking time, it means so much!’ she wrote.
Carson debuted as a Dancing with the Stars pro in Season 18 and won the competition the next season. She was last partnered with actor Frankie Muniz in Season 25.
The DWTS Mirrorball champion wed McAllister during a three-part celebration in the Salt Lake City area on New Year’s Day in 2016.
In a Valentine’s Day vlog shared in February, Witney and her husband opened up about the keys to their happy marriage and while the couple hopes to one day grow their family, they aren’t in any rush to have kids.
As for how many children the pair is hoping for, she said, ‘I think we want three or four, would be a safe number to say.’
