Duchess Kate to give birth before due date, reports suggest

The Duchess is due any day now, and speculation is once again rife as to the gender and name of the imminent arrival.

Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, are awaiting the birth of their third child in April. No official exact date has been given as the due date, but it is believed to be April 14.

As reported by Inquisitr, some have suggested that the new baby could arrive on any number of special days that fall close to it.

The couple announced that Catherine was pregnant in September 2017, a number of weeks before the usual end of the first trimester. The early announcement was made after the Duchess was forced to miss a number of engagements due to Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

In October, it was revealed that the new arrival could be expected in April 2018, with no exact date announced.

Since then, bets have been on with regards to the baby's gender and name, in similar fashion to that of when Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born.

Now, with a possible due date revealed, people are wondering if the baby won't instead make an appearance on a significant day.

One of these suggestions is that the baby will be born on April 23, which happens to be St George's Day. Others are hoping the little one will make an appearance on April 29, the Duke and Duchess' 7th wedding anniversary.

“With Kate’s due date just days before their anniversary there’s a real chance that the couple could be blessed with the dream present on the day in the shape of their third child,” Harry Aitkenhead of bookmaker Coral said.

Princess Charlotte's birthday falls on May 2, and some are even hopeful that she will have to share this special day with her younger sibling.

But the biggest clue is perhaps in something Prince William said to Ringo Starr while chatting following Starr's felicitation. The Prince implied that his wife is expecting the baby "any time now," and this has people wondering if she will deliver early.

In the meantime, the Duchess has kept up her royal commitments, making plenty of appearances in the final few weeks before becoming a mother for the third time.
