The 'Motown' iconic legend reportedly revealed about a couple of years ago that he would like to have more children at his age.

However, the possibility of him tying the knot again is apparently off the cards.

Well, according to the report, Lionel previously claimed that having more children would possibly 'kill' him, as to how the source outlet puts it.

But it looks like the music icon has a change of heart when he talked about wanting to have more kids with his girlfriend who is reportedly in her 30s.

The report has it that Lionel Richie is open to the idea of becoming a father again but clearly ruled out from getting married as apparently, it has been extremely expensive for him with his past marriages.

He reportedly said,

'I've just let a secret slip there, but so be it - Lisa and I are cool with the idea of children.'

The 'American Idol' judge continued by saying,

'Marriage, on the other hand, is a very different issue, it's a bad idea for men. I've been there twice and it was very expensive for me. I've no idea to go there a third time - women have killed it for me.'

Eventually, he revealed the real reason why marriage is out of the question, apparently.

According to him in an interview about a couple years back,

'Kids aren't the problem - ex-wives are. That's why I won't marry again, but I'm happy to commit in other ways.'

Nevertheless, wouldn't be exciting to see Lionel and Lisa's offspring?
