4-year-old's teacher donates kidney to father in need. She's an amazing lady
One teacher did not just impart knowledge to her students, she did more than that.
When Nancy Bleuer, a preschool teacher, learned what her student’s family was going through, she did not think twice and decided that she wanted to help them out.
As shared by Goodfullness, another good Samaritan will make you believe that there is still hope for humanity.
While Bleuer was preparing to start the class, she noticed that one of her students was looking gloomy. She thought it was odd since that particular student was usually jolly and filled with a zest for life.
The student was Camden Petersen, four years old.
Looking detached and sad, Bleuer approached the young boy. She asked him why he looked so sad.
Little Petersen revealed that his father, Darreld, had been diagnosed with kidney failure. The poor child was aware that he was about to lose his dad if they wouldn’t be able to find help.
Bleuer tried to console the child but in the back of her mind, she knew she wanted to do more than just comfort her student.
Later on, she drove to the doctor’s office and checked if she and Darreld were a match.
To everyone’s surprise and delight, Bleuer was a perfect match for him.
Having no second thoughts whatsoever, Bleuer immediately decided she wanted to donate her kidney to her student’s father.
The whole Petersen family were stunned and very grateful for Bleuer.
Darreld said, “It’s just amazing. There are people waiting every day for a kidney, for an organ in general. I wish there were more people like her. She’s giving me a second chance at life.”
The operation was a huge success and the doctors revealed that if Bleuer had not decided to donate one of her kidneys, there was a big chance that Darreld wouldn’t be around anymore.
What Bleuer showed was a true act of selflessness.
