Surfer Bethany Hamilton welcomes her second baby

The professional surfer is now a second-time mom.

Bethany Hamilton shared a sweet family photo on Instagram with their newest addition, a bouncing baby boy.

People shared the adorable photo showing Hamilton with her two sons and her husband, Adam Dirks.

The couple reportedly chose to keep the sex of their new baby as a surprise.

On March 27, 2018, Hamilton announced on social media that she had given birth to her second son with Dirks.

She wrote on the caption that she and her husband are ‘overjoyed’ to welcome their son into the world. They named him Wesley Phillip Dirks.

‘It’s been a beautiful time getting life started with the four of us. We are thankful to God for our two lil guys!!!’

The happy couple revealed that they were expecting another baby in October 2017. At the time, they were already proud parents to their first son, Tobias, who is now two and half years old.

During her pregnancy, Hamilton chose to still live an active lifestyle by continuing to surf. In fact, she often showed off her then-growing baby bump at the beach.

She also took her fans with her throughout her pregnancy journey by giving them updates and sharing photos of her growing belly.

A few months after delivering baby Wesley, Hamilton opened up how her daily routine has shifted with her now being a member of a family of four.

She explained, “Having a baby, you pretty much have to plan ahead everything, especially [since I’m] nursing him. I’m attached to him in a sense because I have to nurse him every two to three hours.”

She went on to say that after feeding her son, she would go surfing for a bit. Afterward, she would come back just in time or she would sometimes pump a bottle and let her husband watch over little Wesley.

Hamilton gushed about how she misses her son all the time. She said that even when she’s surfing she would think of her baby and how much she wants to see him again.
