Famous actor reveals death of mother, gives an emotional tribute

The actor’s mother battled advanced cirrhosis of the liver.

Faith Family America reported that actor Colton Haynes-Leatham made the sad announcement on his social media accounts.

Known for his work in Teen Wolf and Arrow actor Haynes-Leatham revealed that he lost his mother.

The 29-year-old posted several photos on his Instagram page. He revealed that his mother was battling with kidney failure and advanced cirrhosis of the liver.

Dana Haynes passed away on March 23.

‘Today I lost my best friend, the love of my life…my momma. Words can’t express how incredible this woman was. I have so many things to say but I’m in a state of shock. I will always love you momma. RIP my angel.’

Soon after the announcement, friends including Paul W. Downs, Michael Turchinart, and Amelia Gray Hamlin shared their support in the comments section.

The actor had opened up earlier this year about his mother’s declining health. He talked about her positive outlook all throughout her life and how she always thought that laughter was the best medicine.

Dana was in and out of the hospital since the beginning of this year. Multiple tests showed that she was suffering from advanced cirrhosis of the liver and kidney failure.

Though it was a diagnosed that she could be cured with a liver transplant, it was not an option as she did not have much time for a new liver.

Haynes-Leatham revealed to his fans on social media that Dana’s doctor decided to focus on her remaining ‘quality of life’ rather than the quantity of life.

He had said that his ‘strong mother’ had always been the anchor of his family, but they were now forced to say their goodbyes to her.

Haynes-Leatham thanked all his fans and followers on social media. Prayers have poured in for the Haynes family during this difficult time.
