Every year, the President and his family host family-friendly activities on the White House lawn. This year, there was more on the agenda than just the infamous eggroll.

As reported by Faith Family America, the festivities also included an egg hunt, live music, a reading corner, and card-making to support the troops.

The egg dyeing, coloring wall, and cookie decoration was also a big hit with the children, while their parents enjoyed lawn bowling and tennis activities.

A colorful scene outside indeed, but First Lady Melania Trump made sure that the interior of the White House was just as lively. Melania shared her Easter vision with her Twitter followers.

On April 1, 2018, she wished everybody a Happy Easter, and the tweet was accompanied by a photo of the White House Easter decorations.

She arranged for a giant balloon archway in shades of pink and green, and she decorated the room with bunny ears and candy. Her tweet was liked more than 58,000 times.

Some of her followers were surprised by her bold and colorful approach because Melania is known for her neutral color palette when it comes to interior decorating.

She was dressed for the occasion and chose a pale pink dress to compliment the Easter-themed decorations and activities.

President Trump relied on his signature style to get him through the day and wore a dark suit, white shirt, and red tie.

Melania also attended the festivities outside and cheered on the egg roll competitors. Later, she read from a children's book in the reading nook.

The joyous event was attended by other members of Trump's administration as well, including Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and Kellyanne Conway who is Counselor to the President.
