Roseanne Barr is in the spotlight again but not because of the reboot of her show. Instead, the star might’ve offended Reba McEntire’s fan base.

Country Rebel reported that on April 3, 2018, Barr tweeted that McEntire wasn’t good in her role as the Colonel in KFC adverts. The insult came out of nowhere and was unsolicited.

McEntire is currently the newest spokesperson for KFC. She has taken on the role of Colonel Sanders in a series of hilarious commercials.

In one advert the country singer is shown playing the Colonel who is playing McEntire. The clip below clarifies this confusing statement.

Instead of attacking her music, her acting career, or even her clothing line, Barr chose to insult McEntire's role as the Colonel. In a random tweet, Barr proclaimed that McEntire wasn’t a good Colonel.

The actress went on to say that she would have been better in the role. She went on to say that she believed the singer didn't even eat fried chicken at all, especially not from KFC.

Although Barr isn't the first person to criticize McEntire's role as Colonel Sanders, many others actually enjoyed the commercials. But one fact that Barr got wrong was accusing the singer of not eating KFC.

‘reba is not a good colonel not as good as i would be! #Roseanne i do not believe that Reba eats fried chicken! Esp from the Colonel!’

McEntire has said the exact opposite in multiple interviews. During an interview with USA Today, she shared that she had agreed to play Sanders because she’d eaten KFC her whole life.

She revealed that it had always been a favorite, was American, and wholesome. McEntire also made sure to note that she loved the restaurant's chicken and coleslaw.

She echoed similar sentiments in an interview with The Boot too. "I've always been a fan of Kentucky Fried Chicken; I've eaten it since forever," she stated.

Fans of the country singer were quite upset at the insult given to their favorite star.
