Most people enjoy celebrating birthdays as they represent a special date. A group of marines knew exactly what to do for the 238th birthday of the Marine Corps.

At first sight, everything seemed to be a traditional celebration as all people were in their seats enjoying a meal and listening to the marching band. A couple of seconds later, one marine at the DJ booth put black sunglasses on and things got wild.

As Jumble Joy reported, the marching band stopped performing and Macklemore’s Thrift Shop began playing. From one side of the huge hall, another marine walked to the middle singing and, later, another one got in riding a scooter.

While most people thought that only those two would perform the song, many other joined them - a couple of them with more instruments - and started dancing.

The audience got crazy when they realized the lyrics were modified to fit into the life of a marine. Instead of bed sheets for 99 cents needing washing, it became a pilot suit that smelled like jet fuel.

They said ‘gunny style’ instead of ‘your grandpa’s style.’ They even used a shopping cart to make the parody even more real.

Three minutes later, when the first song ended and everyone thought their performance was over, a different song started: Can’t Hold Us.

At that point, the marching band got in and made everything even better. Both the marines and the crowd were clearly enjoying the clever routine they created as they couldn’t stop cheering and clapping.

Their performance set clear that not only can they protect the United States of America but also are willing to entertain people showing style and finesse.

The audience recognized how good everything was as they gave them a standing ovation at the end of the presentation. That day will be marked in their minds forever.
