Theresa Caputo 'goes head-to-head' with her husband over divorce

Television personality Theresa Caputo is most well known as a medium on her show, Long Island Medium. She now faces a divorce battle.

Caputo announced in December 2017 that her 30-year marriage to Larry Caputo has come to an end and that the couple decided to go their separate ways.

As reported by Pop Culture, they went head-on-head on television, in an episode of Long Island Medium that aired on April 8, 2018.

Theresa opened up about how the separation affected her, saying the Larry had pulled back from her during recent years.

She added that him shutting down and not communicating anymore forced her to pull back as well. Their relationship just declined from there.

Larry, in turn, admitted that the neglect also got to him, and he was angry about not getting the same attention from Theresa as in previous years.

It hurt him when he realized that she wasn't 'making an effort' anymore and that she stopped to reach out to him and confide in him.

Larry felt that the Theresa put her career above him and their marriage. He didn't want her to focus on him only because he knew that wouldn't solve anything.

He merely wanted to be a part of her life. He admitted that Theresa and their children are his entire life, even though he knows things aren't the same anymore.

"I don't want to give up. I don't want to throw in the towel. I have too much love for you to give up. And I feel like I can’t keep flipflopping my emotions and that's what I've been doing."

Theresa feels that it is impossible to pinpoint precisely what is behind the decline of their marriage, but she could still feel the effect of 'something toxic.'

She said it happened gradually; it didn't just spring up overnight. It happened over the years. Theresa added that it's sad, and 'it sucks.'
