'NCIS' star Pauley Perrette filmed her last-ever scene on the show and shows a rare photo from it
The team wanted to give the character and the actress a special send-off.
Pauley Perrette has been a part of the NCIS world as Abby Sciuto for fifteen glorious years. Her portrayal of the smart and quirky forensic scientist won her a lot of fans.
Unfortunately, the fans and followers will not see Sciuto on the show after the episode on May 8 this year, as the actress decided to quit the show and move on to other pursuits.
As reported by Pop Culture, Perrette shared snippets from behind the scenes of her final NCIS episode.
She posted a collage of pictures taken on the set of the last episode, in which she posed with her Sean Murray, Brian Dietzen, Wilmer Valderrama and Eleanor Bishop.
The captioned the image confirming that she had just shot her last scene of the series with her co-stars.
Perrette had also shared that Sciuto’s departure would be covered in two episodes, airing May 1 and May 8.
The 49-year-old actress added that she had put in a lot of hard work into her final appearance, and she hoped that all the viewers would watch the episodes.
Fans were upset when it was announced last November that Perrette had decided to quit after the ongoing 15th season. She clearly stated that leaving the show was a call she made by herself in 2016.
To debunk all the rumors surrounding her exit, she also clarified that she was not coming up with a skincare brand, nor was she leaving because of any alleged differences with the crew.
Producers George Schneck and Frank Cardea had enough time to write and film a special send-off for the beloved character.
They had previously commended Perrette’s passion for her job and helped in shaping Sciuto’s personality as an inspiring one.
