After being the most notorious winners in the competition television show is not a surprise that they managed to get a season of their own.
Dancing With the Stars has featured many sports figures as the show's champions and now, it seems like they're going to get a full season.
According to Closer Weekly, after Meryl Davis, Emmitt Smith, and Apolo Ohno were victorious, ABC will devote a whole season to just athletes.
The upcoming 26th season of the reality competition will be called Dancing With the Stars: Athletes and will show ten of them trying to be the champion.
The same outlet explained that the new season is set to premiere on Monday, April 30, at 8 p.m. ET. and fans are already excited.
ABC will reveal the entire new cast for the new 26th season live on Good Morning America this Friday, April 13, 2018.
Closer Weekly also assured that Adam Rippon, Jamie Anderson, Jennie Finch, and Tonya Harding will be part of the competition show's cast.
'Each week these athletes will leave their comfort zones and endure hours of grueling rehearsals to master new dance styles and technical choreography to perform a dance,' ABC announced.
The competition show's judges, as every season, will be ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli.
The same outlet revealed that the 26th season will be the shortest DWTS competition yet, lasting just four weeks, with double eliminations each week.
The winner will be crowned on Monday, May 21, 2018. ABC also stated that Season 26 would the most competitive season ever seen.
