Miranda Lambert speaks out about her 'broken heart' right in front of Blake and Gwen
Many people agree that moving on after a long and special relationship is one of the hardest things in life. Miranda Lambert knows it firsthand.
She and Blake Shelton met in 2005 and started dating a year later, when Shelton divorced from Kaynette Gern. In 2010, he received her father’s blessing and he proposed to her.
In 2015, the couple announced they were going to part ways as it was not the future they envisioned. Now, even though it has been more than three years since they got divorced, Pop Sugar reported that she has not moved on yet.
She set that clear on April 15, 2018, while she was receiving her ACM Award for Song of the Year, thanks to Tin Man.
Everything took place in Las Vegas, in front of a huge crowd and, of course, in front of Shelton and his new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.
Her acceptance speech was short but clear: ‘Thank you guys so much for sharing my broken heart with me.’
The same source added that Lambert is known in the country music world for being honest, and this time things were not different.
Apart from Song of the Year, she also took home the Female Vocalist of the Year award and was nominated for Video of the Year.
Shelton didn’t win any award but was nominated to Single Record of the Year with I’ll Name the Dogs.
In Tin Man, Lambert has a sort of conversation with that famous character of The Wizard of Oz and tries to make him understand that he shouldn’t be looking for a heart because love is hard.
Further in the song, she offers him her own heart, which is in ‘pieces’ and asks him to exchange it for his armor.
Both Shelton and Lambert found the love again, though. He has been dating Stefani and has a very good relationship with her three children and Lambert has been dating Anderson East from late-2015.
