Reba McEntire announces the birth of Chris Stapleton's twin boys
Some days are more special than others, and Chris Stapleton knows it firsthand. April 15, 2018, has been certainly the best day of his entire life.
During the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony, held on the aforementioned day, he won the Album of the Year thanks to his LP titled From a Room: Volume 1.
According to People, he turned 40 that same day, which made things even better. Since he was with his wife Morgane Stapleton in Nashville, Reba McEntire received the award on his behalf.
When she got onstage, she revealed the real reason he was not present that day by admitting he had welcomed twin boys. She did it in a funny way as she said that ‘those little rascals came a little bit early.’
Chris and Morgane, who got married in 2007, have chosen to live a very private life. Even though they are already parents to a son and a daughter, they have not revealed their names.
So far, they have four children to take care of: three sons and one daughter. If things were not good enough, Chris later received the Vocalist of the Year award.
On October 30, 2017, Morgane took to her Instagram account to share with her followers that she and Chris were expecting twins. The image she uploaded showed them facing each other in a black-and-white picture.
In the caption, before wishing him a happy 10th anniversary, she wrote ‘14 years, 2 babies, & 2 more on the way.’ She was later photographed at the 2017 CMA Awards and the 2018 Grammy Awards showing off her baby bump.
Chris confessed that he giggled for about 25 minutes when he learned Morgane was expecting twins as he didn’t know what else to do. He added that she was in shock.
While they didn’t reveal the gender of the babies during the pregnancy, she pointed out their children wanted to have one of each. Things were different, though, but they will love them, for sure.
