John Cena and Nikki Bella have been together for six years, and they recently sealed the deal by getting engaged. It was clear to their fans that they were headed for eternal bliss after being together for so long. But before the wedding could materialize, they suddenly broke up. Fans that have followed their journey and knew how much in love they were are shocked at the decision, with some calling it a bluff. Well, the joint statement released by the couple shows they have made the final decision on their relationship.

The two made a joint statement to Us Weekly that communicated their decision to be apart and asked that their fans respect their privacy as they handled the breakup; “While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another.”

So, what happened to a super couple that got engaged during Wrestlemania 33? Well, we are not certain as they haven’t disclosed that yet, and we are a little confused as Cena told The Tonight Show in March that the wedding plans were underway.

“I was able to let Nicole plan the bachelorette party and she just finished that. And now I’m just kind of on standby to know when it is and where it is, and I’ll be there. … I am super excited and I’m going to have to learn a dance. I promised Nicole that I would spend the last half of April learning a dance. It’s not going to be any good, but I’m going to do the best I can… I’m going to put the time in because I want that moment to be special for her.”

We are saddened by their break up as we thought they were destined to be together and we wish them well. Talk to us in comments.
