Gregg Popovich's wife Erin dies at 67
The San Antonio Spurs are dealing with a great loss at the moment. Their coach’s wife was recently announced to have passed away.
Gregg Popovich’s wife died on April 18, 2018, according to TMZ. The general manager of the Spurs has taken out a statement with regards to the loss.
Erin Popovich’s cause of death is currently unknown. The news of her death came as a shock to players and fans who just couldn’t believe it.
It has been reported that she had been ill for an extended period. Her husband hasn’t shared his feelings about the death of his wife.

Erin and Gregg were married for about 40-years and had 2 children and 2 grandchildren. The family hasn’t spoken out on her death as yet.

The Spurs were scheduled to take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of their playoff series. The game would be played on Thursday night in San Antonio.
One of the players, Kevin Durant, was told the sad news at practice and was at a loss for words. He stated that the whole NBA family was supporting Gregg whom they call ‘Pop.’

The Warriors star added that he felt so bad for Pop according to The Guardian. LeBron James was asked about his feelings on the death on live television immediately after Cleveland’s 100-97 win over Indiana on Wednesday.

He said, “My best wishes goes out to Pop and his family. That’s devastating news.” James stated that the NBA family stuck together.
Erin was 67 when she passed away.
