Carrie Underwood reveals the facial scars above her lip in a new photo
Carrie Underwood, the famous country singer, shared, for the first time since the accident, a photo of her scarred face.
The 35-year-old finally had the courage to put her face out there again after the accident that she suffered back in November of 2017, when she fell down the stairs at her home.
Underwood, who rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of America Idol, was severely injured after the fall, forcing her to stay away from the public eye in the following months, as reported by E! News.
The singer took to her Instagram page on Saturday, April 21, 2018, to show her fans and followers that her face is looking much better despite the trauma that it suffered.
The blonde beauty appeared in a photo slightly smiling to the camera while wearing a white and orange Nashville Predators cap, the hockey team which her husband, Mike Fisher, plays for.
Underwood had to be submitted to plastic surgery to repair the damages caused by accident. In total, she received over 40 stitches. At the time, the singer said that she tripped on the steps while taking her dogs for a walk.
After the procedure, the 34-year-old warned her fans that she would probably look a little different. She claimed that she was afraid of how her husband and 3-year-old baby, Isaiah, would react to her appearance., and that she didn't want to scare them.
But, although the scars are there, they are quite faded and one would have to be close to Underwood's face to notice them. Still, she felt very self-conscious about them for months.
Her first public appearance since November was at the 2018 ACM Awards, which took place last Sunday, April 15. During the show, she stepped on stage and faced the crowd while playing her new single, 'Cry Pretty.'
