Jack Wagner admits falling in love with his 'General Hospital' costar was 'dangerous'

Jack Wagner recently broke the silence about how dangerous was for him to fall in love and marry Kristina Malandro.

Wagner and Malandro played Frisco and Felicia on the beloved soap opera, General Hospital, but their onscreen chemistry turned into a real-life romance.

In 1981, the world was eager to the watch the fictional wedding of Luke and Laura, but soon after the hype ended, Frisco and Felicia's onscreen romance sucked the fans right back.

Malandro and Wagner's fictional relationship started in 1984 and by 1993, they were married in real life. They had two children together, Peter and Harrison, before eventually divorcing in 2006.

According to Do You Remember, during an interview for Oprah: Where Are They Now? Jack compared his relationship with Kristina to a “Barbie and Ken” thing.

The soap actor branded the relationship as a "once in a lifetime" deal, as they were emotionally connected on a deeper level.

“Falling in love with a co-star is amazing because you have something in common. It’s also a little dangerous,” he said.

Wagner compared the situation with Malandro to being in a big family, claiming that they lived in a “sort of impassioned bubble.”

The couple also had to sit down and talk thoroughly in order to realize they were really in love offscreen and that it wasn't just a charm.

Although they got divorced, Wagner called his relationship with Kristina “an amazing ride,” claiming that he’s grateful for all of it.

After divorcing, the couple reunited onscreen in 2013 as Frisco and Felicia in honor of General Hospital’s 50th anniversary.
