Chip and Joanna Gaines recently bid their beloved show farewell when Fixer Upper aired its last episode. Even though it is a sad news for the fans, they will be delighted to hear that the show will be branching out.

A spin-off will soon be airing and it will feature Chip and Joanna’s trusted carpenter, Clint Harp.

He had been a regular on Fixer Upper and had made many contributions to every home the couple renovated in the past.

Inspiring Day revealed that the new show will be called Wood Work and will be featuring Clint and his wife, Kelly.

Wood Work is set to air on the DIY Network and will have its premiere on May 9, 2018.

Talking about the show, Clint said that he and his wife “cannot wait” for it to air.

He shared, “It’s me, it’s my wife and our team building furniture, taking it to people’s places and designing those spaces around those furniture.”

In 2012, Chip and Joanna met Clint at a gas station. At the time, Clint was struggling to make ends meet after he gave up his medical sales job to start his own carpentry business.

Clint shared in 2016, “I met Chip at a gas station in February or March of 2012 and by October or November, we’re filming a pilot for HGTV.”

As for Chip and Joanna, in early April 2018, they were both emotional when they said their goodbyes to the fans during the last episode of Fixer Upper.

Chip also made sure to take time and appreciate all the efforts Clint has done for him, his wife, and for the show all these years. He posted a heartfelt “thank you” post on Twitter for the carpenter.
