Darci Lynne said that she would spend $1 million prize on unexpected local charity

The latest winner of America’s Got Talent previously shared what she wants to do with the prize money she received.

Darci Lynne Farmer, 12, was declared as the winner of the hit talent show on September 20, 2017. She wowed the crowd with her performances as a singing ventriloquist.

Along with the title, Farmer also won a cash prize worth $1 million.

According to Inquisitr, the child was asked what she wanted to do with the money. She listed out three things as her top priority.

“First, I’m definitely going to give some money to my mission program at church. I have to get my mom a dishwasher. Then I’m definitely going to get a pug because I really want one.”

She was then quick to correct herself and admitted that she still had to ask her parents’ permission if she could get a dog.

Meanwhile, the dishwasher was a special request from her mother since their current dishwasher at the time was on the verge of retirement. Farmer looked rather enthused to help out in the house.

As for the night she won America’s Got Talent, she said she was so surprised when Tyra Banks called her name.

She said, “It just means so much to me that America voted for me. I get to see all my friends and family supporting me and crying with me.”

Farmer became a viral hit after her first audition was uploaded on YouTube. She performed a singer-ventriloquist act and she delivered such a great performance that Mel B, one of the judges, decided to press the Golden Buzzer for her.

The various videos of her audition which were uploaded on the media-sharing site have now reached over 50 million views combined. As for her final act, it has now been watched more than 20 million times.
