The MET Gala traditionally brings out the fashionistas in prominent personalities from various fields, and this year’s event was no exception.

Held on May 7 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the star-studded gala was full of hits and misses, with a few celebrities stealing the show with their fashion statements.

One such personality this year was the charming Amal Clooney, whose outfit and charisma stood out at the ceremony.

As reported by ET Online, Clooney, who had only attended the gala once previously, dazzled in a uniquely themed ensemble on the red carpet.

The mother-of-two was seen wearing a strapless floral satin dress with a twist of skin-fit trousers. The theme of the dress was ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’.

The floor-length gown was designed by the acclaimed British fashion designer Richard Quinn. The front of the dress was of a short length – ending just below the waist.

The shimmering silver hue along with the elaborate prints was contrasted with a pair of deep grey satin trousers.

But the outfit had a completely different look on the backside. The rear side of the dress was designed like a floor-length gown, with a grand wide-flared train covering the back from hip to hip.

The skirt had a pale and royal-looking blue tinge and large prints of red roses. Clooney accentuated her lips with bright red lip color and accessorized with a pair of long diamond earrings.

Her dark tresses were tied up in a classy bun, and she towered in a pair of chic black heels.

The paparazzi were busy capturing moments when the Clooneys got out of the car and walked towards the building, arm in arm.

She appeared to be enjoying the attention while her superstar husband made way for her to take center-stage.
