Blake Shelton responds to Luke Bryan’s offer to officiate his & Gwen Stefani’s wedding

Country singer Blake Shelton finally responds to Luke Bryan’s offer to officiate his wedding to Gwen Stefani.

Blake finally has a response for his friend Luke Bryan after he stated that he was willing to be in charge at his wedding to Gwen Stefani.

Luke Bryan revealed that he wanted to help officiate Blake’s wedding with Gwen sometime last month even though the duo aren’t engaged yet.

Well, Blake Shelton has a response to Luke’s offer, and it’s not a good one. In an interview, Shelton joked of Luke saying he didn’t think of Luke as a ‘legitimate country artist’ when asked if he would take up the offer.

In Shelton’s words,

‘Luke’s not even a legitimate country artist, much less like somebody that can marry people, you know what I’m saying.’

Ouch!! What a jab!

Luke isn’t the only one good at officiating weddings as Blake also received an offer too.

Blake fellow coach on the reality show ‘The Voice’ revealed that she considered having Shelton officiate her wedding to her husband Brandon Blackstock back in 2013.

Blake is close friends with the family as Brandon is his manager.

Kelly chimed in on Luke’s offer, as she advises Blake saying,

‘If you want [the wedding] to be real, maybe you should get like, a real [officiant] because we thought about Blake doing my husband and I [but] I wanted it to be real.’

Well, Luke seemed to agree with Blake’s perspective of him as he admitted that his fellow country musician’s choice not to have him officiate might be ‘the smartest thing he’s ever done.’

Despite the wedding talks, Blake and Stefani have never publicly addressed the issue of engagement.

The duo started dating after their respective divorces - Blake from Miranda Lambert and Gwen from Gavin Rossdale.

Fans are eager for wedding bells to ring for Gwen and Blake.
