Nicole Kidman is beaming as she spends time with her mom, 78, amid her recent hospitalization

Nicole Kidman is an Australian actress who found fame in Hollywood. However, the A-lister makes sure to head back home once in a while to spend time with her mother Janelle, which is exactly what she did early this month.

While Nicole Kidman, 50, might be busy flying from state to state attending red carpet events and starring in different blockbuster films, she is never too busy for family.

Kidman was ecstatic as she spent some quality time with her mom Janelle, 78, when she head back home to Australia just last week.

During her visit, the mother-and-daughter duo were spotted enjoying a casual lunch date in Sydney.

This sighting came after news hit the internet that Nicole and Janelle visited the hospital earlier that same week.

Donning a sophisticated camel colored coat and matching capri pants, Nicole looked happy to be strolling hand-in-hand with her mother.

Nicole completed her elegant ensemble with a white button-up top, a matching handbag, and a pair of ballet flats.

Meanwhile, her mother Janelle was looking young in a printed top, a pair of white trousers, and a white linen scarf which she covered her neck with.

She also sported a pair of white running shoes, and a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Last Wednesday, Nicole's publicist Wendy Day revealed to Daily Mail Australia that Janelle was hospitalized for 'routine tests' while Nicole was by her mother's side through it all.

Along with Nicole for the Australia trip are her husband Keith Urban and their children Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

The family presumably spent Mother's Day weekend with Janelle, given that Nicole has very high regards for her mom.

During her Golden Globes acceptance speech earlier this year, the actress did not forget to praise Janelle.

"My momma was an advocate for the women's movement when I was growing up, and because of her I'm standing here. My achievements are her achievements. Antonia Kidman, my sister, and I say thank you Janelle Kidman for what you fought so hard for."

Janelle, a Sydney resident, worked as a nursing instructor and was an active member of the Women's Electoral Lobby, a non-profit lobby group founded in 1972.

"Happy birthday to my beautiful Mumma. You’ve loved me, guided me and taught me and I am so blessed to have you.Your devoted daughter"

While Nicole is usually a regular attendee of the Met Gala, she was not in attendance for this year's ball, as she chose to put her family first and flew to Australia to be with her mother and children.
