Traci Braxton steals hearts with first pic of newborn grandson who already looks like her

Singer and reality television personality Traci Braxton recently shared the first photo of her newborn grandson. The adorable baby sleeps snugly while grandma Traci gushes over her new status as ‘Duchess’. She’s clearly taken with her grandson and who can blame her?

AmoMama learned from ‘Instagram’ that the 47-year-old singer, who also gained fame through her appearance on the reality television series 'Braxton Family Values', captioned the pic with heartwarming words.

‘This is by far the best Mother’s Day present. I wish I could describe how amazing It feels to be a Duchess! So thankful for @sirkevinjr and @oliviahaaron for bringing this special gift into our family. The future has never looked so bright. @sirratt23 and I are so happy to call you our grandbaby.’

Braxton yet again took to Instagram a day later to share a vide clip of her holding her grandson.

‘A moment I will never, EVER forget! A constant reminder that family is so important! So blessed and honored to be The Duchess of a beautiful and healthy baby boy!’

During a March 2018 interview with ‘theGrio’, Traci told host Natasha Alford why she would call herself a Duchess once she becomes a grandmother.

‘My sisters and I…when we were younger, we said if we ever have kids, and our kids have kids, our names would be duchess. That’s royalty, thats what they call the Queens when they have grandkids. So, I’m royalty.’

It was during this same interview that Traci also opened up about her relationship with her husband Kevin Surratt, with whom she shares her son, Kevin Surratt Jr.

The couple have been together for 28 years and have certainly had their ups and downs.

Yet, their marriage has survived and Traci credits love as the reason for their enduring relationship.

‘As long as you have love, anything can heal. Anything is possible.’

Traci and Kevin can now enjoy the next phase of their life together: being grandparents.

Judging from Traci’s enthusiastic posts she’s flourishing in her new role as ‘Duchess’.
