'NCIS' fans react emotionally to the first episode without Pauley Perrette
Everything comes to an end and Pauley Perrette knows it. After being part of NCIS since 2003, she finally left the show, something that fans didn’t take too well.
The episode released on May 15, 2018, represented the first one without Perrette’s character, Abby Sciuto, on the CBS drama. She was not the only one who chose to leave the series, though, as Duane Henry, who played Clayton Reeves, did the same.
Most fans created a deep bond with both characters and knowing that they would not have them back on screen created a deep feeling of sorrow in their hearts.
Even before the latest episode began, they took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it. That was the case of @ChrisAKAtwsm, a Twitter user also known as Grandma Chris.
She confessed to being settling in to watch NCIS without Sciuto and that it wouldn’t be the same without her. Grandma Chris added that things change and that people have to look forward.
When the episode began and people started seeing that Sciuto’s departure was a real fact, things didn’t get easier. Another Twitter user, @abpf91, commented that he missed both Sciuto and Reeves only 10 minutes after the show began.
During the emotional episode, other agents were shown talking about how much they missed Sciuto while standing in the lab wherein she worked for the last 15 years.
The agents pointed out that Reeves and Sciuto’s exit had affected them deeply because they were like family. Coincidentally, fans felt exactly the same and they didn’t hesitate to make that clear on social media.
Wesley Coughlan, a third Twitter user, revealed that he thought of Sciuto every time he saw her laboratory. He finished his comment admitting that he missed her so much.
Perrette should be very proud of her outstanding job throughout the past 15 years as everybody ‘mourned’ her exit from the show. So far, she has not said what is the next project in her career.
