The new Miss USA for 2018 has been named
The Miss USA pageant for this year crowned their winner this week. The winner is Miss Nebraska, Sarah Rose Summers.
She managed to beat 50 other women to claim the title according to the Miss USA Twitter account. Her predecessor was Miss District of Columbia.
Sarah Rose Summers, 23, was crowned at the annual Miss USA pageant on Monday night. Summers succeeded Miss USA 2017, Miss District of Columbia Kára McCullough.
McCullough focused her attention on STEM and diversity initiatives during her reign. Miss North Carolina and Miss Nevada were part of the top three.

This year’s pageant aired on Fox. It was hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey with Carson Kressley and Lu Sierra providing analysis.

Vanessa was Miss Teen USA in 1998. The selection committee this year was five female leaders who served as judges.

She and Oregon were my favorites so glad she won. I was sure that California was going to win earlier since she seemed to have the everything they loved. I think what saved Nebraska was her amazing final answer. The other two flubbed it hard.

Viewers also got to cast their votes online. The top five contestants asked one another the question in the final portion of the night.
