In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Markle Sr. said that he was released from his place of recovery on Monday and arranged for a friend to collect him from the facility.

Markle Sr. said they were followed by five vehicles, and the paparazzi didn't even give up when they saw that his friend's child was also in the car.

"I never asked for this, and my friends never asked for this and photographers, knowing there's a child in the car, have no business chasing it."

They wanted to 'grab a drink' after leaving the facility, but it was practically impossible with the intrusion on his privacy. He did add though that his Frappuccino didn't contain caffeine.

The troubles didn't end there, and paparazzi even followed him to his housing complex. Markle Sr. currently resides in Mexico.

He had to enlist the help of security guards just to make it home safely because photographers had somehow gained access into the complex.

The Duchess of Sussex's father suffered a heart attack less than a week before his daughter's wedding. He was scheduled to walk her down the aisle, but Prince Charles had to step in.

Meghan's father explained exclusively to TMZ that he suffered a heart attack five days before his daughter's wedding and required emergency surgery.

Doctors implanted stents in the coronary blood vessels in a procedure known as a percutaneous coronary intervention.

It involves the temporary insertion of stents to decrease the chances of the vessels clogging again as well as relieve the pain that follows a cardiac arrest.
