The photographer shared some insight into how he managed to capture the perfect moment. According to ABC.net, everything fell into place perfectly to lead to the beautiful outcome.

Alexi Lubomirski revealed that a magical moment led to the intimate black and white photograph of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the stairs at Windsor Castle. The photographer described the day in detail.

He shared that the iconic image was taken with the sun setting just over the top of Windsor Castle behind the couple. Lubomirski said it was serene, the light was beautiful, and the couple was in love, walking around the beautiful garden.

The photographer took that opportunity to ask them to sit down by the stairs for a moment. Meghan obliged by just slumped in between his legs.

Lubomirski shared that they were laughing because they were joking about how they were exhausted and that it was finally over. The photographer also took the couple's official engagement photos where he wanted to follow the same pattern and give the pictures an "authentic, more loose, a little bit more relatable and real" touch.

"It was just one of those magical moments, when you're a photographer and everything falls into place."

He revealed that he kept thinking that the photos needed to be 'familial' because when they did the engagement pictures he wanted to give the sense that they were together. In the black and white picture, when they were embracing and hugging, one could feel the love.

Lubomirski said he only had 25 minutes to do six set-ups for the family photos. These included four pageboys and six flower girls.

The Royal photographer and his team had planned and rehearsed the shoot meticulously. He shared that he used only one word to get the children to focus and that was ‘Smarties.’

He stated that he bribed them one Smartie here and one Smartie there. When the children came onto the set, he immediately shouted out 'Who likes Smarties?'

The children put their hands up and even some adults did the same too. He revealed that the atmosphere in the room was obviously very joyful and there were a lot of smiles.

Lubomirski confessed that some parents were trying to wrangle their children. While other uncles and aunts were talking to their nephews and nieces.
