One of the performers entertaining the crowds on the star-studded night will be Kelly Clarkson. The former winner of American will be attending the CMT awards for the first time this year.
According to Page Six, Clarkson’s debut is set to be commemorated with her live rendition of American Woman, the evergreen song from the classic rock genre.
The track will soon be reprised as the theme song of an upcoming television series on Paramount Network.The series, also called American Woman, will feature Alicia Silverstone and Mena Suvari in the lead roles.
The news of Clarkson’s performance was confirmed by the artist’s social media team, in which they expressed their excitement about watching the icon croon on the big stage.

According to WIOV, other collaborative videos in competition include The Champion featuring Carrie Underwood and Ludacris, Flatliner sung by Cole Swindell and Dierks Bentley and Craving You featuring Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris.
Other artists who will be performing on stage at the CMT awards are Kelsea Ballerini, who is nominated for Legends, Luke Bryan, nominated for Light It Up, and Sam Hunt.
