Damon Wayans Sr. and Rev. Run's granddaughter, 4, is a carbon copy of her mother

It might sound unlikely that two big names of the entertainment industry like actor/comedian Damon Wayans Sr. and rapper Rev. Run are family related, but that is actually a fact. The proud grandfathers are related thanks to their kids being in a long-time relationship and bringing an adorable little girl into the world.

Celebritist learned from Rev. Run’s daughter, Vanessa Simmons’ Instagram account, that her adorable daughter with Mike Wayans is growing up to become a carbon copy of her.

Ava Marie Jean Wayans was born in 2014 and she’s the first granddaughter of both Damon Wayans and Rev. Run, so is only natural that the two men were excited about the birth of the baby girl. Their kids started dating back in 2005, and even though they have talked about getting engaged, Wayans still hasn’t popped the question.

Vanessa is also known for being part of the cast of the reality show “Growing Up Hip Hop” and last year she released her own fashion line “Bad Butterfly” with her fellow fashion designer, Candice Cuoco.

Simmons is known for being a fashionista and for always having her clothes on point, and she has been stilling the passion for fashion into her three-year-old daughter, as shown in recent photos she shared on Instagram.

It seems like the 34-years-old beauty is also incurring in shoe design now, as she recently released a special line for moms that she named “Phenomenal Moms” in partnership with ShoeDazzle. And she had a very special guest in her promotional photoshoot, her daughter Ava.

The adorable girl has an amazing sense of humor, according to her mom, but as every kid, she can be a handful at times, because after going through the photo session, Vanessa revealed in the caption of one of her Instagram posts that she had a hard time getting the girl to settle on set:

“What a day!! Shooting with my daughter for @shoedazzle @fabkids I have so much respect for parents who do this with their kids on a regular, after our first round of photos she told me she was done and ran off set.”

Simmons also opened to Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of having more kids, as she also hinted there’s definitely a marriage coming for her and Wayans in the near future:

“Dealing with a 3-year-old is very challenging, but I think eventually yes [we will have more kids] after Mike and I tie the knot.”

We’re glad to know that Vanessa and Mike made their respective fathers happy by bringing Ava into the world, and we can’t wait for them to get married so that the happiness can be even bigger in their families.
