Pop Culture: Scotty McCreery reveals upcoming wedding details

The 24-year-old country singer, Scott McCreery, is most famously known as the winner of American Idol season 10. He was only sixteen years old at the time.

In an interview with Pop Culture, McCreery revealed that he is "really excited" about his upcoming wedding, and admitted that the prospect of marriage is overwhelming.

McCreery said it is "such a big step," but he cannot wait to spend the rest of his life with fiancee Gabi Dugal. The couple announced their engagement in September 2017.

The wedding is scheduled for 2018, but an official date has not yet been released. In the meantime, McCreery is battling the nerves.

One of the aspects of married life he is most looking forward to is spending more time with Dugal. McCreery is a Christian, and the couple doesn't plan to live together before marriage.

He currently shares an apartment with 'two guy roommates.' Even though he enjoys their company, he would much rather be spending that time with this partner.

"Now after this, as soon as I come home from the road, I get to go back to her and spend more time together like that. [...] I'm nervous-excited. It's a big step."

The couple is busy with the final wedding arrangements, and McCreery said it was an exciting couple of days because they were "up at the wedding venue."

A few last-minute details needed their attention, and planning the wedding with Dugal makes him excited about their future. He added that she's his best friend.

The couple met in kindergarten and have been friends for nearly two decades. They know everything about each other and McCreery feels comfortable around Dugal.

McCreery released his first album, Clear as Day, after winning American Idol. To date, he has released four studio albums. The most recent one is titled Seasons Change and was released this year.
