Ice-T’s wife Coco Austin shared a photo of daughter Chanel Nicole resting on her chest

The 39-year-old Coco Austin didn't realize that she'd be starting an online frenzy when she shared a beautiful photo of her daughter.

The photo, shared to Instagram on Tuesday, shows the model holding her baby. The 2 and a half-year-old Chanel gently rests her head on Coco's chest.

Coco explained in the caption that she follows mother-empowering pages on Instagram and she loves the 'inspiring pics they post showing tenderness and love between a mother and child.'

'I love that I can be a part of that. Baby Chanel Nicole has made me a more sensitive person now that I'm older.'

She also tagged Chanel's Instagram account, @babychanelnicole. The account was created soon after Chanel was born in 2015, and is managed by Coco and husband Ice-T.

While some of her followers criticized her for still breastfeeding, others felt that Coco simply shared the pic to show off her breasts. Many of her fans came to her defense.

Maria Celine said that Coco's breasts are bigger than Coco's head, while Jade Walfe used a string of derogatory words to tell Chanel that she 'is not a mother' and added that she should put more clothes on.

Cassondra Balbierz said Coco is a fantastic mother and added that it's 'empowering to see a public figure take part in extended nursing.' Cassondra's baby was born in December

Sherrie Lamore said it was a beautiful picture and thanked Coco for sharing it with her fans. 'I really wish I took pictures like that when mine were little,' she remarked.

Some of the more hateful comments were deleted, and a user known only as Heather pointed out that 'men sexualizing mother/daughter posts are disgusting.'

Coco and Ice-T walked down the aisle in 2002 and renewed their wedding vows nine years later. The family of three settled down in Edgewater, New Jersey.
