Shaw, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1992, started his career in the entertainment industry appearing in print ads and TV commercials. While it was a quite important milestone for him at that time, things improved in 2006.

By the time he was 14, he earned the role of Malik Payne on the TBS sitcom. His character was described as a witty teenage boy who was always involved in some kind of trouble due to his behavior.

Shaw worked for that series until 2012, appearing in about 130 episodes. Even though working on the series was important for him, he never stopped taking other roles.

At the moment, Shaw is working in The Paynes, which is a sequel to the previous series Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.

Shaw knows that if his mother hadn’t helped him throughout his entire career, things would have been very different. As a result, he often posts photos of her on his Instagram account with warm captions.

One of them showed the woman staring at the horizon wearing a green and white top and multiple wristbands. Shaw captioned it writing that those who look at their mothers witness the purest love.

Another photo posted on Mother’s Day portrayed the woman looking at the camera while wearing a white shirt. In it, Shaw wrote that she was his best friend, protector, teacher, and provider.
