Abby Lee Miller has fun at the pool despite starting round 3 of chemotherapy

51-year-old Abby Lee Miller shared that although she would have loved to go swimming in the sun, she had to resume her treatment of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Former Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller took to social media to share a health update with her online fans. Miller posted a photo of herself standing at the edge of a swimming pool and spreading her arms out while smiling for the lens.

She captioned the post by wishing her followers a happy Friday and expressing her desire to go swimming in the current pleasantly sunny weather.

Miller wrote that under normal circumstances, she would be putting together fun plans for the weekend, which would involve spending time relaxing in the pool.

She added that swimming was one of her most favorite activities, and she also loved getting tanned in the sun.

Miller than revealed that there were no such weekend plans in place since she was about to undergo the third round of chemotherapy for the treatment of her cancer.

Having been through intense treatment for her condition so far, Miller concluded by writing that the upcoming chemotherapy was yet another battle for her to win.

The long series of treatment began in April this year when Miller was rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgery of the spine.

Initially, it was believed to be a spinal infection, however, doctors were able to discover that Miller had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This condition is a particular type of cancer which affects the lymphatic system.

Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, who was one of the doctors treating Miller at Cedar Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital had revealed that they brought in an oncologist to determine the future course of treatment.

Dr. Melamed, who is a renowned orthopedic spine surgeon, had stated early on that Miller would have to undergo chemotherapy to extract the tumor, depending on its type and sensitivity.
