4th grader's piano rendition of John Lennon's 'Imagine' goes viral
When this little boy sat down behind the piano in front of his entire school and plenty of parents, they weren't expecting this.
Adam Kornowski of Lakeside Elementary School decided he wanted to perform at the school's talent show when it rolled around, but he never dreamed that footage of the performance would be watched by millions around the world.
In the video of his performance, posted to Facebook by his mother Michelle Cavarnos Kornowski, the 10-year-old can be seen behind the piano, with a microphone
Adam had chosen to play John Lennon's legendary Imagine, and his performance is certainly worth watching, as he sings along to the entire tune.
To date, the video has more than 11 million views, 286,ooo shares, and 163,000 reactions.
Michelle explained in the post that by the end of his performance, which he finished off with a polite bow to his enamored audience, there wasn't a dry eye in the hall from the parents.
"I think, originally, two of my friends shared it, and were very excited about it," she told CNN. "At some point, I realized it wasn't going to stop. I think I really knew it was going to be something when I started seeing comments from outside of the country."
Adam is finishing off fourth grade in Chisago City, Minnesota. His father is a musician, and started teaching Adam to play the piano when he was just 5.
While Michelle admitted Adam was originally excited by the attention from the video, he quickly moved on with his life to focus on normal 10-year-old things.
