Garcelle Beauvais is a devoted mother who’s also committed to creating a better world for her kids.

On Sunday, she brought her sons Jaid and Jax to the Children Mending Hearts annual ‘Empathy Rocks’ event in Los Angeles confirming her role as both mother and mentor to them.

Garcelle shared a selfie from the charity event where she’s sandwiched between her look-alikes who were no doubt learning so much from their afternoon activity. In her caption, Garcelle divulged it was a “wonderful afternoon” of teaching her kids the value of compassion, kindness, charity, giving back and empathy, as revealed by her hashtags

In photos at the red carpet featured by BCK Online, the former model rocked a colorful printed outfit to match her sons’ trendy styles. She gathered her wavy locks over one shoulder while beaming with pride.

Last year, the celebrity mom spoke of her philosophy of gratitude during an interview with Live Happy. She told the publication she would always make a list of things she’s grateful for first thing in the morning and encourages her three children to do the same.

“I always tell [my sons], ‘I am not raising ungrateful children,’ and I’ll ask them to tell me three things they’re grateful for."

On her part, the 51-year-old revealed she was grateful for another day, her family, her home, her health, and her body.
