Matt Roloff shares family photo with 'exciting news' in his Instagram
Little People, Big World star, Matt Roloff, shared a nice family photo on Instagram with an exciting news about their show that had been on-air since 2006.
The Roloff family has been presented with a Guinness Book of World Records certificate for their show with it being the longest-running family-focused reality TV series in all of television’s history.
Matt shared a photo holding the framed certificate together with his former wife, Amy Roloff, and their children.
On his Instagram profile, Matt wrote, ‘We couldn’t have done it without all of you.’ He also said that he and the rest of his family appreciate the fans who stayed with them through the years.
Little People, Big World started in March 2006 on TLC. Although they took a three-year break, they filled that gap with spin-off series and several specials. By June 27, 2017, the show had already produced 298 episodes.
This year, 307 episodes have been enjoyed by millions of fans all over the world.
Matt, who has a condition called diastrophic dysplasia, said in an interview with People that he the most successful thing the show has achieved was changing the way people see the little people. Aside from his condition, Amy also has achondroplasia.
"We didn’t set out to change the world, but in some small way people seem to react to little people differently now. We’re just an ordinary family that’s been blessed with the most extraordinary circumstances to help change the world,” explained Matt.
A lot has happened with the family since they had documented their lives on television. They have experienced a lot of highs and also a lot of lows. Perhaps the most memorable struggle within the family was Matt and Amy’s separation in 2016
Since their divorce, the former couple has moved on with their separate lives and both of them now have new relationships.
Despite that, they chose to live together on the farm but in separate houses.
Although, in April 2018, Matt, who is currently dating Caryn Chandler, teased about looking at new properties and homes by posting a photo of a brand new house on Instagram.
‘After many crazy ups and downs I’ve finally gotten this little gem all painted and fixed up. I can’t wait to show you a video of the inside final touches,’ he wrote in the caption.
Little People, Big World airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on TLC. For more updates about the Roloff clan, visit our Twitter account, @amomama_usa.
