Bette Midler stepped out in a cute dress to support renovation of green open spaces in NY

Bette Midler, the 72-year-old iconic comedian, made an appearance at the New York Restorations Project's 2018 annual Spring Picnic.

The event took place last Tuesday, June 12, at 114th street in Harlem, New York, and was founded by Middler in 1995 with the intention of cleaning up parks and gardens throughout the Big Apple.

According to its website, New York Restorations Project aims to contribute to a better and greener environment in what is considered to be one of the biggest cities in the world.

As the mastermind behind the movement, Midler didn't let the opportunity to represent the cause pass her by and showed up to the gathering wearing a plain, rose-colored dress with sheer sleeves.

The Golden Globe-winning artist, who also received several Grammy Awards throughout her 50-year career as a singer, comedian, author and actress, drew the camera's attention with the simplicity of her outfit.

In order to complement the ensemble, Midler brought a small owl bag, which she wore across her chest, and highlighted her natural beauty with some flattering makeup.

While at the event, the 72-year-old met Debbie Harry, with whom she posed for pictures on the red carpet. Unlike Midler, Harry's outfit was patterned and complex.

The Blondie frontwoman didn't miss her chance to shine and sported a quite youthful look. Harry wore a mid-length patterned dress under a white biker-styled leather jacket.

Midler, who was born in Hawaii in 1945, will lend her voice to Grandmama in the upcoming The Addams Family movie, which is set to premiere in 2019.

As for Harry, who revealed her bisexuality in 2014, she made her last appearance on television was in RuPaul's Drag Race 'New Wave Queens' episode, where she guest-starred as a judge.
