Kim K. shares birthday party pic of Kanye and North wearing a ponytail with straightened hair

The reality television star took to social media on the special occasion, to pay tribute to both her husband and her late father in her posts.

On Father's Day, Kim Kardashian shared a sweet photo of her husband, rapper Kanye West, and the couple's oldest daughter, North West, thanking him for the amazing job he does as a father to their three children.

The image, posted to Instagram, shows the 5-year-old at her birthday party sitting on Kanye's shoulders with a huge grin plastered on both their faces.

North was wearing a rainbow robe with pink accents, and an alice band with a unicorn horn on it. Her hair was tied back in a high ponytail. Kanye looked relaxed in a black shirt and a white cap.

"Happy Father’s Day babe. Thanks for being such a good dad to our babies! Shout out to all of the amazing dads out there!" Kardashian captioned the image.

Within 1 day, the posted had raked in over 1.8 million likes.

Kardashian also shared another post, this time on Twitter, in honor of her late father, Rob Kardashian, along with a photo of herself with him as a child.

"You’re so heavy on my mind. Happy Father’s Day to the best dad in the world. I miss you so much dad," Kardashian captioned the old shot.

Her father passed away in 2003 after a battle with cancer. He was just 59 years old at the time of his death.

Kardashian's posts came just days after she was caught up in another controversy with regards to cultural appropriation.

The reality star shared a video on Twitter showing off a set of braids she had gotten. While some like the hairstyle on her, others immediately replied to complain about her choice considering braids are usually worn by African-Americans.

It is not the first time Kardashian has chosen this hairstyle to much irritation from the internet community.

In January, she debuted a similar haistyle, on that occasion with platinum blonde braids with beads in the ends.
